The Endless Expedition is a Special Expedition featured in Pressure.

Overview

The Endless Expedition takes place within the Hadal Blacksite, serving as an expedition where players are tasked with gathering Research Research around the Blacksite while traversing an endless amount of rooms. During this expedition, there are no voicelines from HQ (aside from Eyefestation or Z-779 mimicking HQ) and there is no story progression or ending.

During the Endless Expedition, players can expect to see the following differences:

  • Players will never reach the Crystal Room and will instead continue progressing through rooms indefinitely.
  • No Sebastian Shop will be present during the entire run. Sebastian himself still makes an appearance when taking Documents and after the player dies.
  • Grand Encounters will occur at least once every 100 rooms. Currently, this is the first Searchlights encounter. There is no Final Encounter.
  • Harbinger can rarely spawn.
  • Rare rooms can spawn as early as door 1.
  • The Ridge will spawn as a special endless variation, known as "Endless Ridge". This version of The Ridge does not spawn monsters as frequently as the original, acting as a regular Hadal Blacksite room type, and some rooms will be fully illuminated. The "Endless Ridge" does contain most ridge content, such as hijacked speakers, with the exceptions of timer spawns and the lack of lights flickering. The catwalk leading to and from the Endless Ridge (featuring a "checkpoint" similar to the beginning and end of Server Farms) is exclusive to Endless. The Endless Ridge spawns more than once per run, and will continue to spawn on repeat at random intervals throughout a run.
  • Starting with Room 100[Citation Needed], all audio cues from the Node Monsters will play earlier.
    • Along with this, rooms will have a higher chance to be dark, which will spawn Squiddles and Candlebearers.
    • This is most likely hardcoded into the game, as this also happens with The Ridge in the normal game.
  • Starting with Room 400, the power to the Blacksite will go out. Every room from Room 400 onwards will be a dark room, including Grand Encounters. Additionally, node monsters will start spawning on faster timers within these dark rooms, behaving similarly to how they act in The Ridge.
    • The Angler's eyes will close, similar to how it appears in The Ridge.
    • Audio from node monsters will become less muffled while underwater after the lights turn off.
    • Good People will no longer spawn after this point.
    • Anti-personnel Landmines will spawn much more frequently after this point.
    • Endless Ridge is included in this power outage. Unlike the original, there will be no flickering lights that turn on and off, making the Endless Ridge more dangerous than its predecessor after Room 400.
  • Starting past Room 500, The Educator and his schoolhouse have a chance to spawn during the run. His encounter type can vary between the 7-notebook or 10-notebook variant, with the addition of any node monsters or Pandemonium being able to spawn throughout the encounter.

Trivia

  • Around 150 Rooms in, the light being emitted from Rooms & Items will start to glitch, as the game will start rendering worse and worse.
    • This is caused by Roblox's rendering system, which starts to glitch out after about 1000 studs from the middle of the map.
