Post-Mortem Haunting is a game mechanic in Pressure, which allows a dead player to interact within the game with various ghost abilities after Death.

Post-Mortem Haunting is game mechanic, that can be used by purchasing the "Post-Mortem Haunting" gamepass for 199 Robux from the game store.

The Post-Mortem Haunting allows a player to come back in a ghost form after Death. In this ghost form, the player doesn't take any damage from Monsters or Environmental Hazards and is able to use a variety of ghost abilities that affect the living players and environment.

Due to being in a ghost form however, the player isn't able to do any Looting or other interactions. Requiring the player to be living in a physical living form to do this.

Mechanics

The ghost abilities.

In the ghost form, the player will get a variety of ghost abilities to use. These range from being helpful or hindering to the living players.

Some abilities have differing cooldowns depending on how much of an effect it has, and can't be used simultaneously.

Ability Summary
Flicker Lights Ability to flicker room lights.
Break Lights Ability to break room lights.
Turn Off Lamps Ability to turn off a living player's light source, which requires them to turn it back on.
Recharge Lamps Ability to recharge a small amount of the living player's light source.
Play Noise Play a spooky noise, of the haunting variety.
Mess With Objects Ability to make a bunch of drawers and lockers open and close for a short while.
Summon Light Orb Ability to set up a stationary source of light, that will light up a small bit of the area for a short period of time.

If the ghost player is done with being a ghost, they have a slot to the right they can press to return back to the death screen.

Notes

  • Lopee is still able to grab the ghost player that stays in a ungenerating room, Although the player doesn't get damaged after getting teleported.
  • In the ghost form, the player can go into any death pits without getting put into the Death screen.
  • Revives will get disabled once you become a ghost.
  • Candlebrutes will still try to attack players in ghost form, despite not dealing damage or following the player.

Trivia

  • Post-Mortem Haunting was supposed to be released back in the Raveyard Update. This however, was post-poned and added into the Four-Point-Five Update.
  • If a ghost enters the ending submarine they will be teleported to the win box along with any living players and the document detailing your death will be replaced by a win document despite the fact that it will not add to your win count.
  • "Play Noise" Sound is a reference to ROBLOX Before The Dawn/Survive the Night, Fallen's Taunt (Humming)
