In Pressure, you play as a prisoner offered a deal by Urbanshade; a job in exchange for your freedom. After you agree, you are taken to the Hadal Blacksite, a research division created by Urbanshade operating at the bottom of the ocean. Here you are tasked with securing any loose assets, such as documents, USB drives, and DNA vials, ultimately retrieving the main power source of the facility, the Crystal.
The main gameplay loop of Pressure revolves around exploring The Hadal Blacksite, working your way through 100 rooms to reach the Crystal.
Using Research scavenged from rooms, you are able to visit Sebastian's shop where you may purchase items to assist you on your journey.
Upon each death, Sebastian reveals more information about the monster that killed you, providing advice to help you survive their attacks in the future.
After finishing a run, the player will obtain Kroner; the amount varying based on how much Research was collected, the number of doors opened and how far the player makes it into The Hadal Blacksite. This can be used to purchase Revives, different coloured jumpsuits and items in the Pre-round shop.
A variety of items are littered throughout the Hadal Blacksite that can be used to aid the player's survival, ranging from light sources to consumable items. These can also be obtained from various shops, either for Kroner or Research.
