Settings allow players to alter the game in order to make it more comfortable and/or convenient.

Main Settings

The settings menu.
Setting Effect
Credits Displays the credits.
Codes Allows you to input codes in order to gain (or lose) currency.
Disable Intro Disclaimer Pop-up Disables the warning pop-up when you load into the game.
Music Volume Allows you to control how loud the ingame music is.
Accessibility Takes you to the Accessibility Settings. (See below)
Mute HQ Disables HQ's voice lines when you arrive at the Submarine Dock, the first Searchlights encounter, The Ridge, and at the Ending Encounter.
    • This requires at least 1 win to be enabled.
Timer Activates a timer in the top-right corner that starts as soon as you open the first door.
    • This requires at least 1 win to be enabled.
Enable Freecam Allows the player to press Shift-P to enable a freecam. This setting is only available on PC and on solo runs. While enabled, badge and Kroner Kroner earnings are disabled.
    • This requires 5 wins to be enabled.

Accessibility Settings

Setting Effect
Subtitles Activates subtitles for HQ, Sebastian, The p.AI.nter, and the Dealer in the Gambling Room.
Reduced Motion Disables screen shake for Node Monsters, Trenchbleeders and Turrets.
PNG Jumpscares Toggles jumpscares for Node Monsters. Other jumpscares, like squiddles, are unaffected.
Deaf Mode Makes multiple changes that allow partially and fully deaf players to play the game. (See below for specifics)
Reduced Epilepsy Replaces flickering lights with a slow fade-in and out. Additionally Eyefestation's screen effects are disabled and its jumpscare is now still.

Deaf Mode

Deaf Mode adds multiple changes that allow partially or fully deaf players to play the game. While deaf mode is active, multiple new visuals are active that are meant to replace audio cues.

The border that appears when a Node Monster approaches.
Mechanic Changes
Keycard When the jingle plays, an icon appears on screen pointing to the keycard.
Node Monsters As the monster approaches the player, they will see a border around their screen.
Good People No special accommodations are made. Players are expected to watch for sparks coming out of the Navi-AI panels.
Squiddles A white border appears when triggering one.
Wall Dwellers Whenever a player walks, an icon will appear on every player's screen. This icon will also appear when a wall dweller approaches. Players are expected to differentiate between a player's footsteps and a wall dweller's.
Turrets A tooltip will appear on the player's screen, notifying them that the turret has locked onto them, this has no other effect.
