The Educator resemblesis identical to [[w:c:Baldi:Baldi|Baldi]] from [[w:c:Baldi:Baldi%27s_Basics| Baldi’s Basics]], but with a frown, a blue shirt, and green pants. His jumpscare shows a silhouette of himself, with the background alternating between blue and red, whilst his jumpscare sound from the original game plays.
 
== Mechanics ==
The Educator, once spawned through pressing the Evil Button, will begin advancing towards the player through set increments indicated by ruler slaps. If The Educator catches the player, they will be instantly killed. The Educator will speed up as the player advances, moving larger distances in shorter increments.
The Educator is client-side, meaning every player will have their own Educator chasing them, and will not be able to see other players' Educators.▼
 
The Educator can be stunned for 10 seconds with the [[Flash Beacon]], but will move faster for three ruler slaps afterwards.
Once the Evil Button is pressed, The Educator will start speaking. Upon finishing, he will spawn and chase down the player. Every time he slaps his ruler, he will move at a certain distance while also being able to clip through walls. Although player can stun him using a [[Flash Beacon]] for about 5 seconds, he becomes considerably faster for three ruler slaps. If he manages to catch up to the player, they will instantly die.

In The Ridge, The Educator will respawn and chase you. At the end of The Ridge, there will be a second [[2024 April Fools Event|schoolhouse]], this time with [[Angler]] occassionally spawning, and the player needing to collect 10 notebooks instead of 7. Once all 10 notebooks have been collected, the giant door will open and The Educator will despawn once more. Once the player touches the blue pad, they will recieve the badge and will be able to be teleported back to the lobby, unlocking [[Documents/The Educator|The Educator's document]] (if they completed Lesser Evil Mode or True Evil Mode), and the Notebook (if they competed True Evil Mode)
 
During the first encounter there are only 7 notebooks to collect, all containing addition and subtraction problems. During the second encounter there are 10 notebooks to collect, with the questions being more difficult. [[The Angler]] will also spawn during the encounter, rushing through the schoolhouse.

The Educator will reduce his speed after door 10. Rushing will be unnecessary.
The Educator can be easily outpaced if you have enough room to make distance, as he only moves a set distance. As The Educator is client-sided, you can only interact with and see your own instance of The Educator. Stalling The Educator is ineffective, as he can catch up very quickly.
 
If you need to stall him in the schoolhouse, run around the corners for a bit. Once you grab the crystal, run.
 
Luring The Educator to one corner of the schoolhouse and moving to collect a notebook on the other side is generally considered the safest strategy, although it does take time. Avoid using the flash beacon on him unless absolutely needed, as he will speed up after recovering. Make sure to keep moving at all times to avoid him catching up.
