Z-367, codenamed "Pandemonium" is a monster in Pressure. It acts as an extremely dangerous yet uncommon threat that players will encounter, capable of taking most people off guard at first.

Appearance

Pandemonium takes the appearance of a melting, heavily distorted human face, with hundreds of eyes inside of its mouth. Pandemonium’s jaw is warped into a curved shape with numerous distorted, loose teeth.

Pandemonium uses a billboard decal for its face, resulting in it always looking directly at the player.

Mechanics

Pandemonium acts similarly to Angler and its variants. Pandemonium has a chance to spawn if the player’s current or previous room has a valid hiding spot. The lights will flicker briefly, and Pandemonium will begin advancing from behind while emitting a loud sound.

If the player is in Pandemonium’s line of sight while it passes, determined by high-range raycasts, It will make a direct charge towards the player, using advanced path finding to attack them within vents or within side-rooms, regardless if they're within a hiding spot. the raycasts ignore windows and non-solid objects, making hiding nearly impossible unless you remain completely out of its sight.

If the player is in a hiding spot as Pandemonium passes, they will be forced into a minigame requiring the player to keep their cursor in the middle of the screen while Pandemonium attacks the hiding spot, causing their cursor to jump.

While the player’s cursor is off of the point in the middle of the screen, they will lose energy. They can regain energy through keeping their cursor on the point. If they run out of energy, Pandemonium will kill them. After a while, Pandemonium will leave and the minigame will end.

Notes

  • Pandemonium will have a chance to spawn after room 25 and will spawn only once per run.
  • When Pandemonium attacks the player's hiding spot, the player will regenerate a bit of energy per slam.
  • Angler and other Node monsters are able to spawn right after a Pandemonium attack.
  • Pandemonium will attack more often as the minigame progresses.
  • After Pandemonium’s minigame, the player will not be forced out of their hiding spot, and their cleithrophobia will reset.
  • Pandemonium is relatively rare in comparison to members of the Angler family.

The Ridge

For more information, see: The Ridge

Pandemonium will have a higher chance of spawning in the Ridge. Much like angler, there will be no visual cues to signal its arrival, meaning that players will be forced to rely on audio cues and muscle memory.

Strategy

When hiding from Pandemonium, make sure to not hide too early, or you will be forced out of your hiding spot due to cleithrophobia. Hiding from his sight is possible- yet not recommended. always hide near a locker in-case your spotted and you must hide.

Trivia

  • Pandemonium's eye sockets are usually empty and black, but if it spots a player hiding without a locker, white eyes will appear as it attacks.
  • Pandemonium was originally supposed to be called "Rebound". The name was changed to Pandemonium to avoid following what Zeal considered the boring naming convention of DOORS.
  • Pandemonium is currently the only node-entity that breaks away from its nodes to attack players.
  • Pandemonium doesn't have any pronouns and is referred to as "It".
  • Just like Angler and all its variants, Pandemoniums face can be observed to be facing anyone who looks at it, no matter what angle they watch it from. Even if there are multiple camera's watching it.
  • Similiar to Angler and all its variants, Pandemonium seems to be "floating" exactly 1 foot (or meter) off the ground.
