Sebastian Solace, also known as Z-13 or The Saboteur, is a supporting character in Pressure, acting as an ally to the player as they venture through the Hadal Blacksite.

Appearance

Sebastian's body is shaped similarly to that of a sea snake, in that it is elongated with blue scales. At the end of his body is a large tail fin. Sebastian's skin is light blue. His torso is humanoid, with two larger arms and one smaller arm on his right side.

Sebastian's hands are humanoid, although he only has four fingers with claw-like ends. Sebastian's face retains a humanoid appearance with fish-like features, such as an anglerfish bulb on his forehead, fin-like appendages in place of ears, a fish-like mouth, and a third eye on his left side.

Sebastian is seen in-game wearing a dark brown jacket with a white undershirt and a white cravat. He also wears various belts and accessories such as a holster with a gun, a portable security scrambling device, and a small pin with a photo of a cat on it. Sebastian's tail is adorned with several pouches that hold the supplies that he sells to the player.

Personality

Sebastian runs a makeshift shop in which he sells items and supplies to prisoners in exchange for any research that they are carrying. He also supplies items to the player through Dead Drops, requesting credits in exchange for items to be left at the Submarine Dock. Sebastian does not see convicts sent by Urbanshade as his enemies, and is willing to help them in exchange for their help.

Sebastian can also be seen while the player is viewing Documents, being the one who shows the documents to the player. He will often reply with snarky or comedic comments about each monster after the player's death. Interestingly, Sebastian has been forbidden from showing Mr. Lopee’s document.

In 2013, Sebastian was falsely charged with the murder of 9 people, being sentenced to execution. Before execution date Urbanshade acquired him and faked his death, releasing a falsified execution report to the government. Sebastian was imprisoned as an LR-P rank prisoner in the Hadal Blacksite.

In early 2015, Sebastian was chosen for an experiment designed to give humans fish-like gills in order to allow them to breathe underwater. Sebastian was experimented on with various DNA samples of deep sea creatures, succeeding in giving him gills but mutating his appearance beyond recognition. Sebastian was classified as Z-13.

Later in 2015, Sebastian was found to be not guilty of the murders he was accused of. This information was not shared with Sebastian, nor was he released from his imprisonment. The mutation caused by Urbanshade's experiments could no longer be reversed. Sebastian was promoted to MR-P, granting him better living conditions while still keeping him as a prisoner.

Trivia

• Sebastian is voiced by Gianni Matragrano, who also voices Gabriel from ULTRAKILL, one of the games that inspired Pressure.
  • Gianni agreed to voice Sebastian due to him finding the character "cute"
  • Brody Fox was at one point considered as a voice actor for Sebastian if Gianni rejected the role.
• When exiting or tabbing out of the game Sebastian speaks to the player, usually bidding them farewell.
• Sebastian is confirmed to be 31 years old according to YourFriendZeal in a questionnaire, sharing the same age as his voice actor, Gianni Matragrano.
• It is canon that Sebastian smokes.
• Sebastian was originally supposed to be wearing a gas mask, as the developers didn't want to animate his mouth.
• Sebastian carries a scrambler on his back that prevents Urbanshade from finding him.
• Sebastian was originally not supposed to have have ear fins.
• The photo of the cat on Sebastian’s pin is a photo of YourFriendZeal’s cat.
• Sebastian can control the anglerfish light on his forehead as if it were a lamp, pulling it down to turn it on and off.
• Before his transformation, Sebastian's height was 5'10. His monster height is 3.5 meters tall or 10'6
• Sebastian's human form had a large scar in the middle of his face, since his transformation it has disappeared.
• Sebastian sees credits as useless and does not like delivering dead drops; insulting the player if he is forced to do a delivery. This does not apply if a player enters his shop to buy items using research found inside the blacksite.
  • Sebastian is planning to use any documents he scavenges to leverage his way out of the Hadal Blacksite by trading them with rival companies.
• Sebastian was designed through the joint effort of Zerum and YourFriendZeal, with Whales, Easy and Hobosapien assisting with character design and name.
• Jax and River were two out of a multitude of names that were considered before Sebastian was eventually chosen.
• Sebastian is married to the co-creator of the character, Zerum as confirmed by a line recorded during an early recording session with Gianni for Sebastian's voice lines.
• According to Zerum, Sebastian's human form is described to have blue-ish green eyes.
