Mr. Lopee

Mr. Lopee is a hostile monster in Pressure, acting as a safeguard against being left behind and stuck in ungenerated rooms.

Appearance

Mr. Lopee takes the appearance of a tall, dark green figure with glowing eyes wearing an open suit with a bowtie and holding a cane. During his jumpscare, he appears in black and more saturated green, and his model is slightly distorted. Mr. Lopee is only visible from close up, being blurred more the further he is from the player, similarly to the Limited-Time Imaginary Friend when it first appears. While approaching the player, he will play dissonant music.

Mechanics

Mr. Lopee is only a threat in multiplayer runs. He will approach players left behind in ungenerating rooms, before jumpscaring them whilst dealing a randomised amount of damage and teleporting them to the most recently opened door. Mr. Lopee will also attack players if they somehow fall into the void or if room generation fails, which helps prevent softlocks. However, in the latter cases, no damage will be dealt.

Mr. Lopee continuously speeds up, making it impossible to outrun him. He will also teleport players out of lockers.

Notes

• Mr. Lopee will appear alongside Sebastian Solace during the game over screen if:
  • You are killed by him
  • Failed room generation or falling into the void causes him to teleport you
  • The Turret in the submarine kills you
• He can rarely appear after any death.

Strategy

The best way to avoid Mr. Lopee is to ensure that your group does not leave you behind; this can be done most effectively by communicating with them to let them know they are too far ahead. Mr. Lopee cannot be avoided in the circumstances that you fall into the void or room generation fails, though this is not dangerous as he does not deal damage if encountered this way.

Documents

Sebastian claims he isn't allowed to show you Mr. Lopee's document, but he encourages the player not to get left behind next time. However, the fact that Sebastian says that he isn't allowed to show the player his document suggests that a document of Mr.Lopee's exists.

Trivia

• Mr. Lopee's appearance is a direct reference to the "INTERLOPER" ARG (Alternate Reality Game), a web-series by Anomidae on YouTube.
• Mr. Lopee is voiced by Zeal, the audio being taken of a clip of him screaming whilst playing Lethal Company.
• Mr. Lopee doesn't have a document because Zeal didn't want to give him a document.
• Mr. Lopee is 60 years old and died sometime in the 1960s.
• If a player dies to Mr. Lopee, in the screen where Sebastian Solace tells you he can't show you the document, Mr. Lopee's glowing green eyes can sometimes be seen in the background.
  • His eyes can also sometimes be seen when the player dies to any other monster (excluding Sebastian).
• Mr. Lopee's presence in The Raveyard is for gameplay reasons, and is not intended to have any significant bearing on the game's lore.
