The pipes can either appear as a 90 degree bend, a T-shape, or a straight pipe. Pipes will glow different colors depending on their status: green meaning the pipe is connected to a starting point, red meaning the pipe is an end point and is not connected to a starting point, and no glow meaning the pipe is not connected to a starting point.

'''Cable Puzzles''' appear only during the [[Searchlights]] [[Grand Encounters#Ending Encounter|Ending Encounter]]. The player must locate broken cables on the ocean floor, highlighted with yellow glowing sparks, and fix them by doing a quick-time event that is similar to the generators'. Once enough cables are fixed, the player can progress to their next task during the encounter.

The cables repair faster than the generators in the Generator puzzle, only needing three successes in the quick-time event.

Similarly to the '''Generator Puzzle''': if the player misses the timing and clicks when the arrow is not on the bar, the quick-time event will stop and the player will take 5 damage. The progress on a cable also does not restart upon failure.

Puzzles are a game mechanic in Pressure, preventing the player from progressing until the puzzle is solved. Below is a list of all current puzzle types.

Pipe Puzzle

Pipe Puzzles appear in partially flooded rooms with electrified water. The player must locate a pipe panel in the room and rotate the pipes to form a connected line from the starting point to the end point(s). Once solved, the water drains, allowing the player to progress.

The Pipe Puzzle room is quite spacious, allowing the player to safely stand away from the Monsters as they attempt to attack. Certain room generations also place the puzzle inside a separate room, making it a possible hiding position from Pandemonium.

Generator Puzzle

For more information, see: Searchlights

Generator Puzzles appear only during the Searchlights Grand Encounter. The player must locate broken generators, highlighted with red lights, in the room and fix them by doing a quick-time event. Once enough generators are fixed, the door to the next room will open, allowing the player to progress.

A single generator needs four successes in the quick-time event to repair it.

If the player misses the timing and clicks when the arrow is not on the bar, the player will be flung back away from the generator and take 5 damage. However, the progress on the generators do not restart upon a failure.

Cable Puzzle

For more information, see: Searchlights

Cable Puzzles appear only during the Searchlights Ending Encounter.

Similarly to the Generator Puzzle: if the player misses the timing and clicks when the arrow is not on the bar, the quick-time event will stop and the player will take 5 damage. The progress on a cable also does not restart upon failure.
