Rooms but Mid, originally titled "i was bored", was a limited-time recreation of the ROBLOX game "Rooms" by Nicorocks5555 created with the engine of Pressure.

Overview

Rooms but Mid was first opened on the 24th of January, 2024 as a side project created by YourFriendZeal. Rooms but Mid was not a serious project, with development being limited and several community jokes and references added as special rooms.

Development of Rooms but Mid was streamed in the official Pressure Discord, with several community-suggested additions being implemented. Work on Rooms but Mid was mainly centered around creation of said community-suggested additions and major bug fixes. Three badges were created and available during the lifespan of Rooms but Mid. These were badges for joining the game, meeting Sebastian, and reaching room 1000.

Rooms but Mid was closed on the 15th of March 2024, with the game being privated, all badges being deactivated, and all announcements of the game being deleted. All players who had obtained badges from the game kept them, although they now serve no purpose and give no reward.

Gameplay

The gameplay of Rooms but Mid revolved around the player advancing through 1000 rooms to reach the end while avoiding several Monsters. Unlike Pressure, Rooms but Mid had little-to-no unique room generation, with only a small pool of similarly-themed rooms able to be spawned.

Gameplay Tweaks

Rooms but Mid had several small gameplay tweaks. These include:

• There are now 1000 rooms.
  • There are no Grand Encounters.
  • There are little-to-no item or currency spawns.
• There is a guaranteed Hand-Cranked Flashlight in room 1.
• Sebastian's Shop now spawns at room 100.
  • All of Sebastian Solace's voicelines have been replaced with him screaming "GET OUT!"
  • All of Sebastian's shop items have been replaced with Medkits sold for 1 research.
• There is a guaranteed Flash Beacon with 1000 charges at room 100 in front of Sebastian's Shop.
• All Node Monsters, Pandemonium, Squiddles, Eyefestation, and Run Ender are enabled.
  • Pandemonium's minigame is now incredibly difficult and long.

Trivia

• Wall Dwellers were originally designed for this game.
• There was originally a bug at room 999 that prevented players from entering the final room and obtaining the badge. This was fixed shortly after it was discovered, and all affected by the bug were manually teleported back to room 999.
• Contrary to popular belief, the Gummy Flashlight was only created and added to Pressure after Rooms but Mid closed.
• Although all of the badges from Rooms but Mid were disabled and the place was privated after its closure, the badges are still in the Roblox inventories of those who obtained them.
• Several rooms from Rooms but Mid are still accessible in Pressure through a rare secret room type. A reference to Rooms can also be found in Heavy Containment.
