Blitz
Z-283-Blitz, codenamed "Blitz" is a monster in Pressure, acting as an uncommon threat found in the Hadal Blacksite and a variant of The Angler.
Appearance
Blitz resembles a heavily malformed gray viperfish with numerous sharp, thin teeth and three pupils in his left eye socket. His features are distorted, with his open mouth occupying most of his face. Blitz is constantly obscured by a thick dark smoke, obscuring everything aside from his face. His face will always be facing the player, regardless of where they view it from.
Mechanics
Blitz may spawn if the player's current or previous room has a valid hiding spot. When Blitz spawns, nearby lights flicker twice, accompanied by a low droning noise. As soon as Blitz reaches the room, he will roar, which could be used by more experienced players as a signal to hide. Blitz moves extremely fast compared to Angler and other node monsters.
Blitz's raycast goes toward the player's head, and will not kill anyone whose head is fully submerged.
Blitz is the fastest node entity in the game, with The Multi-Monster close behind him in speed. [1]
Notes
- After a player spends a set amount of time in a room, there is a chance for Blitz or any other node monster to spawn. This is called a timer spawn.
- Before a Blitz attack, the navi-path of the next door will flicker longer compared to Angler. Knowing this makes it easier to tell when Blitz is coming into dark rooms or while passing through a room with Eyefestation.
- Blitz has different audio cues than Angler, making it easier to know if Blitz is attacking.
- Blitz cannot spawn when the furthest room opened is a dark room.
- This behavior is also present with other node monsters and Pandemonium.
- If The Angler, or any of its variations (aside from Pinkie), spawn while the player is in a bright room, they will break the lights in their path and convert the room into a dark room. When this happens, Blitz can no longer spawn until another bright room is opened.
- There are reports of Blitz spawning shortly after a door has opened to a dark room. This is assumed to be a bug, as Zeal has confirmed that node monsters cannot spawn in dark rooms.[2]
- The Ridge, while dark in many areas, is an exception to this and will continue to spawn Blitz.
The Ridge
Blitz will spawn more frequently in the ridge, and will not be accompanied by visual cues. Players are forced to rely on sound alone to know when Blitz is coming. Sound cues happen earlier while Blitz is attacking in the ridge, giving players more time to react. Blitz's earlier sound cue in the ridge will not be his scream but a low droning noise before he reaches the player.
Strategy
The best way to avoid Blitz is to hide before he rushes through the room. Cleithrophobia will usually give you enough time to survive Blitz, even if you hid somewhat early; as long as you hear Blitz's audio cue, cleithrophobia shouldn't kick you out by the time Blitz has passed through the room. However, hiding early is not viable for Ridge, where cleithrophobia is significantly faster. Blitz moves extremely fast compared to Angler, so be careful when timing your hiding.
Blitz uses a raycasting hitbox to create his line of sight, so hiding in places that cover your character completely (including office cubicles, separate hallways, and vents) will work in evading Blitz.

Trivia
- Blitz is a variant of Angler, sharing the same core mechanic. There are multiple other variants of Angler, including Chainsmoker, Pinkie, and Froger.
- Blitz is a male. [3]
- Blitz has an unused design repurposed for the admin-exclusive monster Death Angel.
- Blitz's name is a reference to his speed. He is one of the fastest node monsters in the game, hence his name.
- Blitz, like Chainsmoker, has no jumpscare but a unique death screen. When Blitz catches the player, the player's vision will turn monochrome, the contrast increasing heavily, and Blitz will become silent. Blitz will then, ironically, slowly inch toward the player, "jumping" frame by frame before the screen cuts to black, indicating the player's death.
